aww Bless him. ....would love to do some agility with Solly but no groups in our area.......are those garden hoes you're using for weaving poles?
The weave poles are 'Clix' ones - they are plastic and screw into the ground. They come as a set of 6, but I have 8 as I'm using 2 uprights from a 'Clix' hurdle set too. You can buy 'Clix' agility stuff from various places on-line.
The black jump at the far end is actually 2 dustins with the bottoms cut out - it doubles as a tunnel for Tilly (Beau would get stuck as it's too narrow), and the one in he middle is the 4 blue 'Clix' hurdle poles and a couple of wire frames (covered in large plastic bags) that I used to keep the pigeons off my spuds last year (grown in the bins above )
This is a good site for making stuff at home http://www.agilitybits.co.uk/Equipment/equip_index.html - I'm definitely going to make some proper jumps out of wood, so much cheaper than buying ready made and really not that difficult!
I had to laugh at Tilly`s distraction of bringing her ball for throwing every couple of seconds
This made me laugh too Mary when I watched the vids back, she is totally obsessed with her ball! It's impossible to get her focused on agility when she's 'in the ball zone', she's just not interested in anything else, not even liver cubes!
Brilliant Great idea to use things that are around as well as the bought stuff. We always do things like that for kids so makes sense to do it for the dogs too! Looks like Beau is really taking to it.

I had a resourceful day last Sunday
I'd been saying for ages that I must buy some wood and build some proper stuff, but it was the price of tunnels that really got me thinking, hence the dustbins, which Tilly promptly showed me doubled up as a pretty good jump! So out came some more 'I'll hang on to that, it might be useful' stuff from the shed, which in turn uncovered the bag of weave poles that I'd forgotten I'd bought last year
Hey! Getting a clear round is the dream!!!! And I've seen slower dogs at comps so 'you go Beau!!'
I was laughing at Tilly's antics with the ball too! I bet she's a lot quicker around that course - have you tried running with the ball in your hand to get Tilly focused on you - it worked a treat for Luna! Last weekend a completely strange to her young boy ran an agility course with Luna - she followed because he had HER ball in his hand!
I have 6 of those clix weaves and was wondering whether to get some more when I suddenly pinged! Bamboo sticks and some left over water piping cut up later and I had 12! I've used some cheap 'electric fence' plastic posts to train weaves too - a third of the price of 6 clix poles for 10 too!
I make up jumps resting poles on plant pots sometimes! LOVE the idea of the bins making a tunnel!
I wanted to train Luna to run all the way down on dog walks/A'frames/see-saw and was wondering if I could get my handyman Dad to help me make something to practice on in garden UNTIL I had a lightbulb moment! I borrowed a suitable plank off my Dad, rested it going down the 2 steps from the garden to the drive and 'hey presto'! Because of the low slope Luna walks all the way to the bottom of it everytime we go out for a walk, I gave her the command 'on it' when she was right at the bottom of the slope and a reward. She's transferred it to the 'proper' equipment at training and competition meaning I'm a happier Laura because she's not risking injury by leaping off the downward slopes anymore! No expensive equipment needed!
