'IF' Charlie's papers are genuine then Jake is related to Charlie.
His grandfather is Admiral Am at Thurbajen and poss sire is Clovelly Cavalier

If? Shocked How come you doubt the authenticity of Charlie's paperwork?

It'll be nice if he is related Smile I think the closest relations i've seen otherwise are from gt. gt. gt. grandparents on sire's side or gt. gt. grandparents on dam's side...

Charlie isn't registered (which we knew about when we got him but knew no better Rolling Eyes )
I asked what papers she had and she gave me a handwriiten pedigree which said parents were
Admiral Am at Thurbajen and Copper Christmas Cracker
which if genuine we assume were Charlie's Mum's parents or poss Grandparents because of CCC's age.
So we don't know if Clovelly Cavalier is Charlie's Dad or not but I believe he is/ was local to where we got Charlie from

Ohhh I see, it would be strange for them to register some progeny and not others wouldn't it? Confused

I know what you mean about knowing no better! When we bought Jake it was quite a quick decision and whilst we asked lots of questions and did some general homework, we didn't do much labrador specific research so didn't know much about health testing etc. I was told that jake's parents were health tested but never got copies of certificates and because I didn't know what I was looking for I don't even know if I saw genuine certificates of the results and can only remember that one of the parents had a 6 in the score... Your Jake is about 55% working, 45% show. The bitch side solid work, as is Ernevale Tulip and the dogs behind her.

Yes, Pechasi is a kennel affix belonging to Peter Sipling in north Lincolnshire. Smile

I couldn't really find out much about the dogs from dad's side of the family. How do I find out which ones have been shown etc?

Well known show affix's in the dog side of the pedigree are, in no particular order:- Llanstinan, Birchams, Lynquest, Linjor, Sandylands, Lawnwoods and Carromer. On the same side Ernevale Tulip and behind are all working lines.

Regards, John
