Billinge hill is one of the highest points in the north west and the views are spectacular, the walk up to the top through the woods is great for the dogs, me and zak do it nearly every weekend cos its where i live, but thought it would be nice to see if anyone wants to tag along so the date is Saturday 12th June Time 11:30 meet at, The Holts Arms, Crank Rd. Billinge, WN5 7DT from the pub its a short walk up the road to the woods then the dogs can be safely off lead, and ofcourse we can finnish with a drink/snack at the pub as well hope you can come sheila and zak Last edited by _sheila_ on Sat Jun 12, 2010 10:46 pm; edited 1 time in total

Sounds good to me, looking forward to meeting you & Zak. How long is the on lead bit at the beginning? If more than 5 mins I will just bring one dog.

Ditto Wigan isnt too from me and just looked on a map, doesnt look overly complicated to find the road you've said! Money is a bit tight this month so will have to judge nearer to the time petrol wise....I possibly have one of the most uneconomical cars ever so will confirm closer to the time

Hi Sheila Me, Andy and Benson will be there providing Benson stays fit free Benson is doing OK at the moment, hes not right but not fiting which is the main thing, just taking it day by day with lots of cuddles. looking forward to meeting you and Zak and Benson is looking forward to exploring somewhere new Edit to say - Jo, me or andy can take George or Benson on the lead section if you like as we'll both be there so one of us will be hands free x

I would like to have done this one, but was expecting to do the North Wales GT that day (Erdigg). I don't know if the Erdigg date has actually been confirmed for 12th. If it hasn't, then I'll come to Billinge. It sounds good.

oh this is looking good, hope you can all make it, shirley even if you cant come, just tell me a weekend you can it wont be a problem for me to do it all over again as i take zak this route most weekends anyone got any queries or need some directions give me shout or pm and i will try to help, you will all love the walk, its not too far (my arthritic back wont let me walk too far ) not really too steep and the views are just wonderful so i hope we get a good clear day too, see you all on the 12th andy and leanne i am soo looking forward to meeting benson, have all crossed that he remains fit free, zak had a fit at 5am this morning, so far the diazepam seem to have kept the cluster at bay and he appears to be settling ok now, big hugs to benson from us sheila and zak
