thanks everyone alfie does like to spread out but he is currently in a dognut bed which he is happy to curl in. He also has a flat bed and some vet bed - spoilt much but the dognut one gathers so much hair no matter how much it goes in the wash. think we will go for L as dont think there would be room from xl. Now for colours ill have to consult the pooch its either black, blue or i quite like the green x which one do u all think brown hairs are less likely to show x
