Lovely working pedigree! Obviously something can go wrong with any pup, but this one is as good as any. I have a particular liking for the Duchess of Devonshire's dogs.
What a great pedigree!
And I don't mean just the actual pedigree itself, which is gorgeous (and makes your pup related to my Ozzie), but I love the photos and the explainations of DNA tests etc. I think it's really well done for people new to reading pedigrees!
I'm loving the look of Ross, your pup's sire, he looks scrummy!!!
Thanks for the replies - apologies for taking so long to reply, but I paid my subscription fee on Saturday and couldn't get access all weekend. Anyway all sorted now.
It seems there are a lot of dogs related on here. Even our old girl that passed away a few months ago is related!
It is just a pedigree and is no guarantee what the dog will turn out like. The boy will just be a pet, although I will go to gundog training, as I did that with our previous lab. May seem a waste to have a dog with such a working pedigree, but I just prefer the look and temperament of the working lines, and love the look of Ross and Honey!
My wife keeps worrying – a boy from such a working pedigree, what are we letting ourselves in for?! Our old girl was sooo easy!!!
Oh and I agree, I really like the format the breeder documented the pedigree - nice to keep.
wow great pedigree. Lola has a few relations in there, some Drakeshead (Haretor mark appeared obscenely often on both sides of ours too ) and Pocklea Remus.
Don't worry too much Lola has quite a bit of red in her pedigree but she's got a real gentle nature. She's mostly a pet but we do gundog puppy training. I have to say your pups sire is really handsome

That Herator Mark certainly got around!
Good to hear about Lola, may go some way to help convince my wife...
Here is a link to more pics of Ross. I agree, very handsome!
Haretor Mark of Drakeshead did get about, because he was a very good dog, but also because he was the sire of Pocklea Remus, one of the all time greats, plus several other well used stud dogs.
It was the same with Aughacasla Sam of Drakeshead who was very well used in his own right, but then his son, Craighorn Bracken was also very heavily used which pushes up the number of times you find Sam in a pedigree.
