Be careful with the amount of them that you give as they can have a high protein content (which send's Jack hyper).

Personally, they give mine the run's if he has too much so we have to limit him to around 20 minutes a day.

Yes - we had the same issues with rawhides...he loved them so much that we were lulled into giving one a day for a while...

but boy did they play havoc with his tum!

He now shares these with a sterilised bone from PAH - which has been going strong for around a month!!

Thanks for the advice - I will limit them to once or twice a week as only just sorted her tummy after she arrived last week.
I melted a bit of cheese and stuffed it in the cracks of a rawhide bone for her today as we have a friend dog sitting and I was worried she'd run him ragged without a distraction of some kind!
I know there are some safety issues but I've watched her closely and she seems to take her time chewing them till they're soft, even smaller bits she could technically swallow. It's fab that, after being quiet chewing for hours, they are then tired out and fall alseep!
