Pigsy looked good on beta but she was HYPER! She's been equally good on skinners but now she's on autarkis (or whatever it's called!) and she looks luverly. Apparently beta has a very high sugar content which explains pig's mad tendencys but then again she might just be insane. I'd go with Skinners personally.

I feed Maddie on Beta when we first got her.She suffered terrible with the runs.I changed her to skinners and can't recommend it highly enough. Maddie has been fantastic on it.I get mine from Vet uk it worked out about £5 per bag cheaper than buying it from my local pet shop.If you buy 2 bags delivery is free.

Tess is on Skinners (their Crunchy now, but til she was 6 months she was on Skinners F&T puppy), and I think it suits her well - she's glossy, never overhungry, active but not hyper and her poos are completely pickupable. Not every food suits every dog, but if you get a small bag to try it (actually the very nice woman at the Skinners website sent me four sample packets to try it out before I bought any - so that is worth a go!) and see how you get on?

I have never tried Beta and since Fee pointed out it's made by Evil or Very Mad Nestle, I won't be!

Lola was on skinners from the breeder I had been changing her over to wellbeloved but, even with half and half, her poos are getting runnier. Skinners is harder to find but having read this I'm going to go and order online Very Happy

When Hudson came to us, he was on Beta - and he had a dry scurvy skin! Seems to be a Beta thing! Also he used to do MONDO enormous poops!

If you do decide to order online from VetUK, ask Angela C to give you a link from the oldies club as they will get a donation for every purchase from that website.

Smile

I feed the adults Skinners but as it's not readily available from the big stores I decided to feed Poppy's puppy's on Beta until they left for their new homes. The new owners were given a fortnight's food to allow time for them to gradually change over to an alternative if that was what they wanted. I gradually changed Martha to Skinners and at 11 months she's on the adult food and thriving.

Puppy Beta was for us, Skinners never agreed with Wispa - now both mine are on Gusto £6 odd a bag from our local supermarket, seems to agree with both although dont think Wispa is so keen on it!

Ask for a sample before you go buying a huge bag.
