We have been noticing more people are slipping their websites into their Signatures which is against the forum guidelines and rules as the only people that are permitted to do this are those who pay to advertise on the forums.
Could I please ask if you are one of those who currently have their website in their Signatures to please remove them.
You may use your website/business as your username, and you may put your website address in the relevant forum profile section so that when people click on the WWW under your name they get directed to your site.
Thanks very much

I think both Wendy and I have Lab health in our signature - which we got permission from admin for many moons ago - it's not a personal website - but a site that has evolved as a result of Lab Forums in the interest of Labs.
Those are OK, like the Rescue ones, its the ones that promote businesses and kennels that need to be removed or have permission from admin Sue

So is a personal one ok as long as it is not linked to a business? I'm developing a blog for Cadbury can I put the link to that in my sig as I've already added my MySpace page to my forum profile.
Afraid not, you only get one website link and it has to be in your profile under the "www" button - so I'm afraid you'll need to choose between the two.
Either that, or you could link to a holding page which has one link to Cadbury's blog, and another link to your myspace page?
I can`t see what the problem is in having a dogs blog link in your sig, after all its not like there`s money to be made out of people reading it or there`s anything for sale

Others have been asked to remove their website links, when they don't sell anything on their websites either. There has to be one rule for everyone, it can't be ok for one person and not ok for someone else.
So, everyone can put a URL into their profile, just not in their signature.
Sophie - if you want a hand setting up a holding page, PM me and I will set one up for you
