More Than and M&S have good levels of cover and are very competitively priced.

A lot of people also use DirectLine or Tesco - although their cover tends to be lower.

Be aware that many policies have exclusions for the first 14 days - if I am looking to take out a new policy on a pup or change companies, I always tend to make sure I do one about 14 days before the other expires - bit of a b*ggar if you do have to make a claim, but still a lot cheaper than not being covered - make sure you check with whichever company you choose.

Unfortunately, insurance cover seems to vary in price dependent on location.

I pay less than £14 a month for the top cover with More Than for each of my girls - before anyone thinks they may be hard done by because of any quotes they get.

we have found argos insurance to be excellent and it has a high level of cover , we have claimed over £15,000 for ollie in the last 3 years and it is now cheaper than it was 3 years ago Shocked Very Happy Very Happy we pay £14.91 per month for olllie , they have always paid direct to the vet/hospital and have never once refused to pay for anything Very Happy

we now have maisie insured with them and hers is £15.03 per month and this will also be less this next renewal due to her being speyed Very Happy

That's interesting Dave - intrigued to know how they arrive at that decision when they don't cover anything to do with the reproductive system which I've always assumed included conditions such as pyo. Might be worth mentioning to the insurance company when Hally eventually gets neutered then Rolling Eyes

I'm with more than they have been excellent with me. I have claimed over 5 grand in the last 6 months Ella has had HD and has 2 TPo's. They have always paid me back within a week of me sending the claim form !!!
I took the insurance out in the Jan and had to start claiming in the May they never queried anything.
I took out the life cover it's 11.19 a month ( Sorry can't find the pound sign !).
