Diesels early christmas present arrived today his Zippy bed. Mr. Green
I picked it up from the post office where the woman asked me what it was as the packaging was see through. I told her it was a dog bed, she asked 'for how many dogs?'. Shocked
I hadn't seen it at this point. Its blooming huge, and i only ordered a large Shocked

Diesel took a few mins having a good sniff at it and jumped straight in.
Looking at it now im not sure if i should have gotten it in Red. At least the dark colour hided the mud Wink

He doesn't seam too happy

Thats lovely, whats the betting that when Deisel sleeps in it he`ll hang half in half out like most labs seem to with their beds Laughing

Now you're making me feel guilty Rolling Eyes as Meg and Mole have one each for Christmas, but they aren't allowed them until then.

I did get them out the packaging and let them have a sneaky preview, and Mole even got in hers (although she had a problem with her back legs falling down the sides)

Now they have been put away until that special day Very Happy

Awwwww....Give them now - they'll be pleased with a dog chew and some turkey on the big day Laughing Laughing

I've been looking at the threads for this with interest. Max has a large cushion at the minute but the stuffing is getting a bit lumpy so looking like an XXL Bed for him............as like Reuben and others he sleeps most of his time on his back Rolling Eyes But I did read from someone that they are a bit noisy (not good for me as I wake at the slightest noise and if he's moving around all the time is it annoying? Also the inside cushion does seem to creep away a bit from the sides - is it a problem?

Irene the xxl beds really are enormous - you could squeeze a jumbo jet or two into them. They are quite noisy, but there isn't a problem with the cushion creeping away from the sides. At least not with the one we had. They are fabulous quality but unfortunately Alfie didn't like it so Lorna's Gladys now has it. And I hope her brothers have joined her in it now.

It is a bit noisy but Ifind if you put a blanket or some vet bed on the mattress part then it cuts down on the noise no end!

I'm a light sleeper like you and since I put the vet bed over the mattress he very rarely wakes me up now.... apart from when he decides to have a wash at 6am Rolling Eyes How on earth he can make so much noise just from licking himself is beyond me Laughing Laughing Laughing

I appreciate what youre saying Joal but he rarely 'curls up' Rolling Eyes and would just end up flattening the sides down of the large - going on the pictures of Diesel in it - but I will double check with sizes before I order. Thanks. Wink

Ive never used this vet bed stuff but see a lot do, may give it a try. I was just going to put a 'doubled up throw' on it (easy for washing) Laughing and I wish Max kept his 'cleaning of private parts' to JUST 6AM. Rolling Eyes

He may be migrating off the bedroom floor soon anyway unless he packs it in Confused

I know these are easier maintenance because of the wipe clean asset, but I was thinking of the faux suede one which it says is also wipe clean. Anyone had this style and why is the 'noisier' one preferred.
