here is Z modelling her happydog harness so you can see where it sits:
I have to say that Z pulled so the harness was a nightmare for me - but as Basil knows how to walk properly, then this shouldn't be an issue for you
edited to say: it must be a while since she's worn it as I'd forgotten it doesn't go behind her front legs. I still use it when I use a tie-out stake to prevent any pressure on her neck.

aww look at her in that pic
Thanks that does help, I must admit I glanced at the webby and saved it to my favourites, all the different combos looked quite complex so I figured i'd look at it properly when my brain is in gear

bless her - my lovely girl
don't worry too much re: complexity/sizing - the website people are fab - if you chat to them they will help you select the right pieces - & send you more than one size of each piece if you still aren't certain re: sizing - you then send back any spares!

I have just put Poppy into a harness. With her hip dysplasia the physio suggested it would help even out the load if she does pull. I am using a Halti Harness, which goes around the chest and around the body. It has 2 lead attachments - one on the front of the chest (which is the one I use) and one on the back. They suggest using the training lead, which I do because it is so soft, and attach either end to either ring. But Poppy walks beautifully when it is just clipped to the front and we have wonderful walks together. I know a lot of people are against harnesses, but we still work on commands when walking and are really enjoying our walks together.
Anyway, just a thought.
