I use Hamster baskets for my stuff - irrelevant now as you have ordered

Thanks Carroll. I did look at 'hamsterbaskets' when I was trying to decide whether to car crate or tailgate guard because they were mentioned on an old thread. They don't mention tailgate guards on their website although I don't doubt they'd make one!!

MMG were keen for me to give them a call if we get stuck! I have a great image of me in boot, guard wedged on top of me, OH running off to make t and me asking how much an MMG fitter would charge to come out and rescue me on mobile!!!!!!!! Laughing Laughing Expect the worst and hope for the best!!!!! Laughing Laughing

Yes they do and Dick is really friendly and helpful.

Only thing with measuring for hamsterbaskets, is make sure the person who is going to be letting you out of the boot, doesn't walk off for a cuppa and forget you are there.

My now ex husband did and I was a great side show for the neighbours - he realised 10 mins later I was still in the Volvo boot - the inner lock didn't work!! Rolling Eyes

mmg, barjo and guardsman all great

i've got a guardsman cage - very solid and has been used in three cars now. all are expensive but worth their weight in gold. worth getting a strong one and paying extra for emergency exits if people are buying cages
