Recently Charlie (9 months) has ripped through three dog beds in quick succession. They have all been essentially cushions that are full of fluff inside, and he has bitten through the corners and slowly extracted all the fluff.
Any suggestions on really tough or none fluffy dog beds/cushions that puppies cant chew through?
There really isn't anything that Pasco hasn't managed to destroy.
Tuffies dog beds are probably your best bet. They have an indestructible bed which unfortunately Pasco has managed to make a hole in. I must actually contact them about that. But, it really has been the best bed, and had stood up to some fairly hefty examination! I believe they are easily fixed though.

I have a bed defluffer, destroyer here, he has to have a big plastic bed with an old towel in it
The towel ends up ripped to shreds, then he gets a new one (from charity shop)
He has had some lovely comfy beds but they just get destroyed, he even undoes zips to get the stuffing out.
I am also looking for an undestructable bed while Bella goes through her chew and destroy phase... ( lets hope it is just a phase lol... )
She has Vetbed in her crate, and a cushion and fleece on the floor in the lounge. I just worry that she might want something more padded and mattressy like.
I have had to throw out two dog beds, after she pulled all the stuffing out!
Her fave place to sleep is the settee but I don't leave her unattended in case she chews anything she shouldn't.
I'm really happy with my latest choice of a large 'Gor Pets Deluxe Cosy Bed'. The base is not a removable cushion (she had enjoyed removing the cushion from one of her old beds). There are no zips to break and she can't get at the stuffing. It's sturdier, chunkier and heavier than other fabric beds I've had in the past and the material is just better quality all round. The surround is great for resting her head upon, just like she does with the sofa arm rest. She prefers fabric (a material girl ), so it's nice to have a fabric bed that will last for a change!
She took to it instantly (unlike other beds, matresses etc.) and has been resting up in it since, making some very relaxed sounds and striking some great sleepy, stretched-out poses. She never "chose" to rest in previous beds but goes straight to this one, which must be a good sign.
More expensive than what I'd normally spend on bedding but when I look at how cosy she is in it, I'm glad I picked it up. Spotted it in my local pet store this week and felt like impulse buying.
At least it wasn't as pricey as some of the other dog bedding on the market. People are selling designer dog sofas for hundreds of pounds online. Madness! (Although, if I win the Euromillions tonight... )
I want to buy stuff... but ultimately I know that the only thing Tess won't try to destroy is Vetbed.
She has a piece in her crate, and a piece in the lounge where she is happy to lie. - so far this is the only substance I've tried on her to lie on that she hasn't been able to dent!
im glad sams not the only one with this problem. hes gone through so many beds since we got him.
recently he has just had blankets and an old throw from the sofa in his crate because i got fed up of buying new beds every month but hes even chewed them to bits and im getting worried hes going to do himself some harm with the bits he chews off.
im looking for something he cant eat and might give vetbed a try.
thanks
I agree; you can't beat vet bed! When you first buy it, it moults for about week, but after that you can do anything with it. Rosie's a sucker and she's destroyed most of her beds in the past - anything cushiony doesn't last. We bought her vet bed and it's been through the wash a zillion times.
I have grown really tired of spending 35 quid a pop on beds and then they only last a few months - regardless of whether she chews them - they just seem to end up all out of shape. Despite eating my gucci specs , harry potter dvds, and more recently the coffee table, Frank hasn't done any bed-destruction yet.. I am investing in a Zippy bed which so many people here have recommended. If you look down the list of topics you'll find Zippy bed threads - although I don't know how they stand up to being chewed.
