Den - just a thought, your policy isn't £6k per year is it? If so maybe you could delay the last MRI a while so it falls in the new policy year.

It wont help with the rest but it's something Confused

Oh what a blow for you. I am hopeful that a payment scheme can be set up for you. Sorry to hear about your job too! I hope everything sorts itself out for you soon. It's an awful lot of money to be paid out in one go, and I am sure arrangements for smaller payments can be met.

Good luck Den. x

Sorry to hear of this, Den. Sad Pet insurance can be such a nightmare sometimes. I have Charlie insured for £7,000, and I just hope that it is enough.

All you can really do is talk to each individual vet about it and be up front about your problems paying. You won't be the first to ever have problems paying such a huge bill, nor the last. Added to that, we are in a recession and people's working hours are being cut back right, left and centre at the moment. If they want it all paid then I would hope that they will try to make a way forward for you.

That's a scary amount of money to find - but I'm sure the vets will understand your predicament. I'm not sure how these things work, but might the Blue cross or PDSA be able to help?

Aww, sorry to hear of your broken wrist, Den. I don't know if you mentioned in on another thread that I missed (not online as much during school holidays).

I hope it is better soon, so you are not on SSP for too long.

I know what it feels like to be constantly in the financial doldrums. I can't remember the last time I wasn't there. Rolling Eyes
