I've just phoned up to renew alfie and Billy's insurance with m&s and my poor bank balance has taken a real bashing.... how can they justify £600 for 2 dogs for the year??? Shocked

The crazy thing is i apparently have 7% off Billy's as he's the 2nd dog BUT his insurance is only £3 cheaper than Alfies Shocked I queried it but the girl said it could be due to the breed of dog Question soooo unfair Sad

Anyway please someone remind me why i have dogs? Wink Wink Wink

OMG I just worked out I'm paying just over £940 per year to insure my three Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked .

I'm seriously considering dropping Mojo's insurance and putting that money aside instead. I'll probably drop Pood's once she hits 2 yrs old, as long as I have no problems up until then and may do Pickle's at the same age too.

I'm sick to the back teeth of lining their pockets and it's not as if most trips to the vets I can even claim for, as they come in under £70.

The amount most Ins Co's have put up their premiums this year is utterly ridiculous and I can see more and more people not bothering to insure, as it's too damned expensive. Evil or Very Mad

I'd love to drop their insurance but i couldn't afford it if they got ill or injured so i have no choice but to pay it Sad

Your right though... nearly everytime i go to the vets its under the excess so can't claim Rolling Eyes

Just seems really unfair... and its the main reason i won't be able to have more than 2 dogs Sad

"For everything else there is a Mastercard" or so the advert says Wink. I do have a card which I only use in emergencies. It would work out cheaper to pay Vets bills with that and pay it off monthly than pay out so much every month to the Ins Co.

I'm tied in for another year with Mojo (renewed last month) and until May with Pood, so I'll see if they will offer me any discounts next year, especially as I have all three dogs and a car insured with them....and if they can't I'll cancel the policies....Stuff 'em!

When you renew, always ring up and haggle for a better deal.
