Well I think that we have finally found a solution to our fussy eater Very Happy ,

Whilst having a look around our local pet shop OH noticed tins of Bozita tin dog food on special offer Wink . So we decided to buy some and give Herman a little in with his breakfast ( we have had real problems getting him to eat in the mornings Rolling Eyes and he looses weight when working hard Rolling Eyes despite being on Arden Grange performance diet ) . Anyway I think that we have finally struck gold he absolutely wolfed his meal and even cleaned his bowl ( he is not a Lab Laughing ) . ( his poos have been really good too Very Happy) .

Anyway I wondered if anyone else feeds this and and especially if they are feeding the dry . I would be interested to know how they have got on .

As nobody has replied I can only assume that nobody else has tried this Wink . Oh well I suppose I shall just need to be a trend setter and go it alone and give the dry food a try Smile .

I haven't heard of it - so haven't tried it!

Luna loves having a spoonful of wet food in her dry and is extra quick eating with it in.

Hope the experiment in trend setting is successful!

Not heard of it myself but could it be that Herman prefers wet food to dry?, maybe worth trying to mix some with his arden grange, I know you shouldn`t do that with complete foods but whatever works I say Very Happy

so may be we should have changed the food every two weeks,

Hi everyone , thankyou for your replies .

Veggie bitch , to answer your question : 1 Border collie , 4 Labs , 1 Wirehaired Viszla .

Yes we have a busy household Very Happy

Interestingly Herman does not seem to be parky at night time feed , just mornings where we have a prob. Even with sardines in with his dry he picks at it Rolling Eyes but at night time will eat the Arden Grange quite happily by itself. He is a very strange little man .
This morning he again licked his bowl clean so maybe we are on a winner with the bozita tins Smile .

the reason that I was interested to hear about the dry is that having looked at their website I thought that in terms of calorific value it was more than Arden Grange performance and may suit Herman as it is not always convenient feeding tins if we are away trialing . Anyway OH has found a website that is free delivery and a good price so I have ordered some as a bit of an experiment . I shall let you all know how we get on .

I understand that you'd want him to eat in the morning, esp if he has a hard day ahead of him, but perhaps he's a one meal a day boy?

Didn't realise you had a BC and a Viszla too. Beautiful Very Happy

Methinks we need a group pic of your gang Very Happy

Hi Mo ,

Bit of a prob with the pics as My computer makes everything dark and I have not found a solution to it yet .

If Herman was a pet dog the one meal a day probably would not be a problem but as he is working hard and needs to pack in the calories it really needs to be two meals or I would think that we may have an issue with bloat ( something that I always worry about ) . One meal and he starts to loose ground quite quickly . Also if I know that we are going to be tracking ( very exhausting for a dog ) then he really needs a breakfast. I have recently been using the penmikan bars to good effect ( thanks Drummuir Cool for the tip ) which he will eat any time , but I would prefer him to eat a meal instead like the rest of the gang .
