We haven't had to clean any poo up from the garden all week! Sure it won't be permanent, but Rosie seems to be pooing less times a day now, and most of them in the fields where we walk her (the nearest of which is dog**** city!)
Enjoying it while it lasts...

Those of you who have dogs that won`t wee in public!, CJ was the same, then when I was going to the GT last year I though he can`t go two days without toilet!! (we were camping), so I posted about it.

John said to do the same as taking them in the yard/garden, say the "do wees for mum" (or whatever you use of course Very Happy ) when the dog is sniffing around, it worked for me, and now CJ pees and poos everytime we go out Very Happy .

I`ve had that once or twice Karen, found a wee on the sofa and don`t now who`s done it! Shocked

Grrr...how cross you must be!!

I think I must be lucky with Barley as I have only had about 2 wees indoors since I have had her (except for when she had the UTI). She literally scratches at the door. I feel quite pleased with that!

I do think that if you catch them mid-flow you should pick them up (they will stop) and say "outside" in a firm voice and then take them out. I read this tip in the Victoria Stilwell book (yes, I am a groupie!! Laughing), did it twice and havent had a problem again since. I am sure we will have the odd accident down the road but it seems to work well.

hope it lasts Karen!!!!! Ruby was really really great seriously nearly 100% all the time until about 12 weeks then all kind of got worse when we eased off with the jumping up and down and praising so dont make the mistake of easing off too early.

I admire those of you who can say a firm 'no' when your pup pees indoors - the couple of times Baxter did it (when he was a bit bigger of course - not from the start!) it was more like an 'aaaaaarrghhhhhh nooooo noooooo nooooo!!!!!!!'. He stopped as if he'd realised what he was doing and dashed for the door Laughing Laughing Laughing

I wish Mia would give a sign she wants to go out, Confused all she does is stares. It's so easy to miss, especially when she has her "Dumb Blonde head on) Very Happy

Charlie does not bark, whine or scratch at the door. He simply paces back and forth between me and the back door and waits till we open it for him. I have to make sure I am reading him correctly. I let him out several times a day anyway. He has not done anything in the house since he was about 5 or 6 months old now, so here's hoping I am not speaking to soon now. Don't want to come down to a flooded kitchen floor tomorrow morning Shocked

Helen.
