No khaki stuff in mine either, generally your everyday sort of training. Mine also ended up monitoring poo (frequency, colour and consistency!) when Luna was going through (literally!) a going often so changing food stage! It also kept tabs on when and why she was barking when she decided to bark at husband which we didn't like and has also been used when she was resting cos of injured paw to see when she needed some sort of activity (chew or toilet walk or just some attention!) and when I could leave her to sleep and get on with chores!
An interesting read it makes!

The way I have been taught (past generations) is to start with what you know well, to get your dog supple and alert. once dog has done alittle of what dog does well and has got confidence, try something new or go over the last new thing you tried out, only do the new thing once or twice and if dog gets it right - leave it alone for that day. End with old stuff that dog does well. If the dog has struggled with the 'new' stuff - do the very same routine next day. If dog did new stuff well go through same routine only do new stuff a couple of more times ending again with old stuff. And so it goes on. I have also been taught, not to just keep setting up situations, but also to do training exercises as taught as a youngster and to keep up the heelwork.
What is so good about these journals is that, if I hit a problem, I can look back to see how someone else or myself sorted it out in the past.
It is a pain sometimes you just don't feel like writing it up. You have to be strict with yourself. I am used to writing up case notes so perhaps it is easier for me. But do try it,once you get into the swing of it, it will make great reading a year on!.

one good piece of advice i got was to plan what you going to do each session before you go out. Stops me getting carried away with the time or standing there wondering! Hee hee
i do make rough notes of set ups etc
