I missed all the uproar of the photos being complained about and removed and obviously didn't see anything at all wrong with them in the first place!! They were quite obviously funny, set up photos - like mine of Luna with a hangover (she'd actually stuck to beer rather than the fizzy stuff on New Year's Eve!! )
I love the photos,I think Dudley's face is a classic, and I personally wouldn't find them in the least bit contraversial for a moment. I have no idea who might have been worried by them, but I would like to think that whoever they were worried for a reason that was real and genuine to them, and I feel a bit sad that they are being labelled as some one or some people who 'need to get a life' and are 'sad gits' etc.
Yes, it would have been helpful if they felt they could have 'voiced' their reasons why on the thread, but then people who have in the past have had a pretty rough backlash on the whole, so I can understand their reasons not to.
I did offer the person to pm me or email me privately Becs so I could understand their problem and did remove the photos after the complaint. I wasn't asked to remove them, I just thought at that point it was for the best. But sadly no-one did write to me so I guess we'll never know why.
Anyway the photos were taken in fun so after loads of requests I decided to put them back on (with a disclaimer pmsl)
Whoever did report it, I am sorry if you were upset for whatever reason, but I promise you I am NOT encouraging any giving dogs alcohol!!! It was just done for a laugh after a few sad posts on the forum recently.
Somewhere i have a photograph of my Rotty. lying on his back looking boz eyed and my son had tucked an empty bottle of whisky in the armpit. I must look it out.
As to the pics wendy took, I really can't believe ANYONE would think those pics were of real booze - this is a forum for dog lovers - surely no one will be really giving their dogs booze AND showing it for the world to see.
I rather think it is more likely to be someone making mischief, who complained
