Sue - do you have a customer manager you can call directly? I just had an e-mail come through from them telling me my customer manager had changed but there is a direct number and an e-mail address on there. May have more luck that way?

To my knowledge, never had a customer manager allocated Vicki (my reputation obviously precedes me, Embarassed they wouldn't dare Shocked )

I phoned More Than to check my existing policies for Rusti and Scoobs and they have stayed the same, just the excess due. With regards to new policies its the excess + the 10%, and then 10% of any future bills relating to the same claim.

Have been getting various quotes from other insurers for Sunni and best prices I can find is Sainsburys at £7500 lifetime cover for each and every condition, excess £75 and they are currently offering 12 months cover for the price of 9. Virgin are also offering £6000 lifetime cover for every condition, excess at £60.

Thought I would give you a quick update in respect of More Than Policies for anyone who is interested, seeing as a lovely manager dud eventually ring me yesterday.

More Than DO cover dogs used in breeding programmes - and for showing - the later providing it is a hobby.

As anticipated, they will not cover any condition related to breeding (C-section, loss of dog etc etc) - and while praying I don't jinx myself - if for example, one of my girls had an accident while pregnant completely unrelated to the pregnancy - they WOULD cover it.

So in summary, they will cover the dog, but anything breeding related is excepted under the standard policy conditions.

I am with direct line and pay £15 a month and that cover £6000 per condition on going each year with £80 excess, i really thought £6000 was plenty but its getting really close with Chester now Shocked

Sad - how is he?

The More Than cover is £7000 per condition - but it goes to show how rates vary between areas - all mine are under £15 with More Than - the only policy I have over is the M&S for Hally who is 7 in March.
