Bailey loves the treats & i buy them in bulk from their website, the only slight downside of the large boxes of treats is the fishy smell Laughing

Thank you all for your replies - The treats certainly sound like a definite (as long as we keep them in the shed!!)

I think I will buy a small bag of food at the weekend and guage the Bug's response.....although I have never known Beetle to turn down ANY food!!

thanks again for your invaluable advice

We have very greedy bunch here and am not able to give them anything that they could possibly swallow whole because they will and then either try to in hale it or are sick !

Fish4Dogs sponsor our display team, so we've tried all the treats..... my 2 love the fish skins, and always chew them, and they're really greedy Smile

Thanks Fay , Now I know that they are not likely to be inhaled Rolling Eyes I think that I might just have to buy some for the pack Smile . Always a bit cautious as raw hide chews and pigs ears are a big no in this houehold these sound a bit safer Wink

Hi Keith ,

We have had problems with the hide chews and pigs ears in the past with them chewing off big pieces and then swallowing them and then they get stuck and they then puck but have also known quite a few other handlers that have had dogs get full on obstructions and ended up operated on in the vets so consequently we took the decision not to feed these chews anymore.

Dont have a problem with them in general just personally into preventing problems with our pack so that I can sleep at night.

Hi there

I bought some of the fish skin treats yesterday - a big hit! (pet shop didn't stock the food - just the treats)

They are really crispy/crumbly - and one bite ensured that they broke up into lots of pieces...

100% fish skin is what the packet says - and boy they smell like it!!

Well we had a nice DHL man arrive this morning with a large box ( Got me out the bath Rolling Eyes ) , it was the fish skins PHEW !!! , poor man I think that he was pleased to get them out of his van Laughing Laughing Laughing .
Our dogs do seem to like them , two crunches and they are gone Smile , they also sent a sample of the salmon mouse dog food Very Happy , as Herman is really picky in the mornings I put it in with his dry food and it has all gone Very Happy mind you his beard sinks if fish now so will have to wash that,
that is what you get with a wirehaired viszla. Thanks for suggesting these will be getting some more in due course. Very Happy
