Preparing for my shopping spree at the CLA Game Fair - I am thinking of looking for a bargain and splashing out on a matching jacket and trousers. All my present stuff is too blinkin warm and none of it matches.

I want wind and waterproof but not warm. Oh and plenty of movement for when I'm clambering over dykes etc. I have been looking around at Harkila jacket and trousers. Anyone got any views on these good or bad? Or got any other suggestions?

I have a few harkila items and have found them very good quality, have a look at john norris on-line first they are doing the whisla jacket and trousers with a load of money off... another one to look for is laksen they also produce good stuff, seeland is similar but half the quality and half the price.

While you are there, take a note of stuff for 'girlies who are as big as whales', am thinking about being smaller - but thats all that happens as I keep being tempted of the 'good' path!

Well after lots of digging around and looking at photos I am now leaning towards Seeland Thornhill instead and at the moment the best prices seem to be Scott Country.

I have a shrewd suspicion this may be because I have seen an extremely smart lady out training in this gear and I still have this wish to look smart instead of grubby, muddy and covered in dog hairs Rolling Eyes !

Ps. Thank you Mr Taxman for my tax refund Very Happy .

Jill, I have a Seeland Thornhill Jacket and its very warm - so if you're not looking for warm then I would look for something else. Unless it's really really really cold I find this jacket a bit too warm...
