Stupid question.. (sorry!) but when you start training the 'young'uns' can you NOT use 'wait' and just use 'sit' in the gun training scenario?? It may be too late for the big dogs now as thats what they're used to, but then knowing your lot Di (despite what you think) they wouldnt go anyway even if you didnt say WAIT...??!!!! I dont see why you cant use 'wait' when opening a gate and not need to use it when you're out on a drive... They be clever ol' dogs and know the difference!!!!
Just edited this as i was awake last night thinking about it and it sounds like I'm saying your question was stupid.. which its obviously not, what I meant was that I was (as usual) asking a stupid question... Please forgive my stupidness!!!
