Becs, thank you, will chuck that exercise into training.. I think I am guilty of not varying things enough.. and really need to do a plan prior to going out..
Sarah/Becs - Yes, I do chuck in a hunt whistle/recall whistle, but not all the time.. sometimes I will chuck one in if he is not hunting hard enough, or a recall whistle if he is not coming back fast enough.. and sometimes, just because its habit! BUT, I hardly used my whistle at all yesterday, and clearly was not needed, in fact I think he was better without me and my pipping! We learn...
I have since seen someone, who has pretty much shown me the errors of my ways! and in the space of a few hours, it was pretty much sorted (checking in), and definately have the tools to continue now, so am very pleased!
All my fault obviously, nothing wrong with the dog!
