I've just ordered a gun off Amazon! It's a blue plastic James-Bond good old-fashioned toy cap-gun but I read on Amazon that it's not a bad way to start getting a dog used to the sound.
Being a Towny, I can't go firing starting pistols off in my garden or on the local playing field, and I would have no idea who the local farmers are to ask permission to fire a pistol on their fields, but I don't think my James-Bond cap-gun could offend anyone, could it?
Zorro is still jittery around guns and so I really want Mouse to get used to the noise early on. I'm thinking that if I start firing it at the end of the garden when I feed them and then work closer over time it would be a start?
I always wanted a cap-gun as a child but they were always given to my brothers. I can't wait to slip into my Bo Derek bikini and slip the gun into my holster
Becs and The Gang
(PS- Zorro did 5 WHOLE WATER RETRIEVES at training today! He had to do 5 as it took 5 dummies to get him in and swimming but once he started he retrieved all 5 from the other side of the pond! I'm so dead proud of him. )

From I remember of cap guns they make quite a noise so I imagine it would be a good start, I`m no expert though but I`m sure those who are will advise
WTG Zorro for all those water retrieves, bet its cos he likes fetching the dummies that he made you throw 5 in

A Well done to Zorro for his water retrieves.
A girl after my own heart. I remember getting a cowboy gun and a holster one Christmas many many years ago. It was all I wanted that year. That was in the days when kids played cowboys and indians
Off to look on Amazon now as I think I will get one before I introduce Roxy GSD to the starting pistol as I can only use it when I am at my friend's farm.

I have this picture of the local Firearms Response Team surrounding Becs house. 20 police cars with wailers sounding and blue lights flashing. Helicopter hovering overhead, searchlight blazing into the garden.
A neighbour is stood in the middle of the street screaming "There's a mad woman loose firing a gun"
15 burly policemen, armed and in full riot gear are waiting around the corner waiting for the command to storm in..........
Torchwood meets Becsland.
