Question; Would you be agreeable to Lab Link rescue being able to raise funds as an organisation in itself, with the sole purpose to give emergency funding to those Lab link rescue members who need it, either for;
1. Emergency Kennelling for dogs (Labs and Lab x) in danger/need
2. Emergency vet costs for Labs and Lab x
LLR would NOT rescue Labradors, let me make that clear, we can leave that to the professionals.
I ask this as something similar goes on on a GSD website and they have made a small donation to help with emergency kennelling for 3 dogs who's owner has to move to rented where pets are not allowed sadly and we had 48hrs to sort it, Pro Dogs direct have stepped in and offered rescue back up as they dogs are GSD, GSD X and a Mastiff/Cocker X.
Without that emergency fund/donation those dogs would have had no where to go, with the Council pound an only option, and one of the dogs has epilepsy  . and we know the possible outcome there
I would welcome you thoughts comments on this before I put it to Admin as a proper proposal.
