Beetle has been on Hills Puppy for some time now, but I have read a few posts concerning Hills, and whilst he is pretty happy with it, I can't help thinking his occasional dandruffy bits would appreciate a change in diet.

Our trainer swears by fish4dogs - and certainly love the idea of fish oil in his food for a shiny coat.

Does anyone out there use this food, or perhaps has done so in the past?

thanks for any advice or comments

g

I've not tried it but I have a friend who swears by it and her dogs certainly look good (but not better than mine as I feed RAW and I swear by that, hers are on dried food Wink )

Luna eats Proplan Salmon and the fishy oils definitely give her a coat that is always commented on as being soft and shiny.

Her lack of 'doggy breath' is also commented on although she does breath a little fishy for the hour immediately after eating!

Can't comment on fish4dogs but fishy based food we like!

Mine have had the treats - which they love - but not the food. They do have some Arden Grange salmon dry food though which I think is really good.

All my familys dogs and my dogs including foster ones are fed on fish4dogs-cod and rice, its absolutly brillant, solved all dodgy stomachs and no farting or bad breath-Max is even losing some of his extra pounds and Maisie is maitaining her weight nicely on it- Maisie had green soft poos on James wellbeloved and everything else-her coat is in top condition now and she isnt shredding so much either. Her poos are firm and a normal brown colour and she now goes twice a day as opposed to 3/4 times
Find the salmon flavour too rich, but the fish jerky and the sea biscuits are brillant treats too.
The other thing that convinced me to try it was that it is just fish fish oil and rice-no other crap added.

i use the treats - can be bought occasionally as mishapes at considerably less than the usual cost - in bulk from their website

certainly anyone buying the treats - buy direct in bulk and not in the shops -

My oldies have the salmon mousse added to their Burns Fish and Rice kibble although they've only been on it a couple of weeks. Sam has so many tablets to take that it's the only way I can guarantee everything disappears!!

They love it though and no upset tummies even though I had to do an emergency switch over from Nature Diet.

Have also bought their Salmon Oil for the others to try, but I think it's a bit early yet to see results.
