I Think I need to fill you all in with some information, firstly my Max was a rescue and the love of my life, he is tattooed and micro-chipped. One day I had an argument with a friend of mine and we were no longer friends, this person was very clever and knew how to get at people and hurt them mentally.
One morning I drove to my stables stayed there for 2 hours and returned home to my log cabin at the back of the garden. Opened the door and no dog to be seen! Windows were locked and the door was locked upon arrival......inside my cabin is a plasma TV and a Laptop which wasn’t touched... after inspecting the door it had became clear that a small crowbar had been used to enter the premises.
So I called the police, they came looked at the door and make a statement and asked me to send them some pictures of max. They asked me if I had any idea who it was so I told them, they advised me that without sufficient evidence they cannot do anything but to keep my eyes peeled and if I spot them to take a picture and then they can proceed in making an arrest.
The person who is responsible for the theft has given the dog to someone either in 2 places Hayes or Northolt ...... my heart tells me this.

I know you`ve probably called the dog warden and local pounds, what I did was went in person and left my details and those of CJ, the pound where the warden takes strays called and checked CJ`s chip number which matched, he had gone missing and been picked up by someone who took him there for boarding.
It may be worth checking places like this in case Max has escaped from whoever has him and has been picked up, ot like me, the person takes him for boarding.
Surely the police have enough evidence to go round and at least talk to this ex-friend!? It's a lead I'd expect to be followed up. Who knows under even an informal chat what they might admit to especially given the passage of time.
Mary's advice is good. Getting Max's face known through giving photos or emails to boarding kennels and vets in the areas he may possibly be living in could be a way of finding him.

This would seem like the most sensible thing to do guys, but unfortunately we do not have the powers to do this (oh, I'm PC. Imeldamarcos by the way...sorry!!.) People who do horrible thing's like this aren't your usual decent member of the public who will invite you in for a chat. The Officers involved would be unlikely to get any help from people who are so cruel, and believe me, I am hoping they get their little bit of evidence so they can get round there, bash the door in and seize the poor pup and speed off into the sunset with him to be reunited with his owner. Best of luck, keeping everythong crossed for you.x
There is a fine line between protecting people from 'the law' and allowing 'the law' to do their job. Difficult and frustrating!! And meantime there is a poor innocent pup missing his home.
