Thank you for your kind and lovely words, they really are a help at what has been the most horrid and devastating time. As dog and Labrador lovers you know what it is to love and receive unconditional love from these wonderful dogs. I was so very lucky to have 8 fantastic years with Sambo who was known affectionately within the family as 'Sidekick Sambo' as we had so many fun times and adventures together. My life is so very empty now and I feel that I have lost my very best friend, he was so much more than 'just a dog' to me.
I will always remember Sambo as full of fun, happiness and adventure as well as being a very regal eccentric, he's missed greatly by my friend Alec and Isabel to whom he visited every day and my Mother is devastated that her Sambuca de Black Mombassa (don't ask we're all a bit crazy) is no longer with us.
I was lucky to be able to find him and bring him home and I thank everyone who helped and the advice I received from Dog Lost was invaluable. He's safe now and sleeping surrounded by roses and honeysuckle and visited every day and told how much he is missed, loved and will be cherished as the most special dog a girl could ever be so lucky to own.
I hope in time I can find it to have another and I do hope that I can re-home a rescue Lab as there are so many dogs out there that need loving homes through no fault of their own.
