Thank goodness Thumper has been found and well done the vet for scanning before neutering him.

I do wonder sometimes about the RSPCA, they advocate chipping after all, so why not have a scanner at every shelter? Confused

They didn't scan him and could have had him for a week and were going to operate on him and were going to rehome him!!!

No wonder people who have lost dogs are advised to poster and visit shelters!!!!!

What is the point of putting in the microchip and keeping details up to date, if it is not searched for when a 'stray' dog is found!!!! I feel I have been duped into a false sense of security as I assumed if any agency picked Luna up, her chip would bring her straight back to me!

I'm shocked and will support any campaign to ensure that ANY dog found has to be all-over body scanned for a chip more than once!!!!!!!!!!!!

So pleased to hear that Thumper is now safe.

I have just got back from Rendlesham, I am so pleased he has been reunited with his owner, it sounds like theft and dump to me, and RSPCA not scanning...not surprised in the least Rolling Eyes
