This is only a 'feelers out' post to see if, in an emergency, anyone could take Dudley for a couple of weeks if he becomes impossible around Charlie after his op.

The aftercare is so important for Charlie and I don't want to put him at any risk

Obviously we're hoping to manage him at home and keep them in seperate rooms when necessary as Charlie has never been crated and we'd have to pyhsically force him in causing possible damage so I'm not prepared to do that.

Dudley is being really calm and gentle around Charlie tonight so maybe he senses something and I'm worrying over nothing

I don't want to put him in kennels ,plus I'd have to prebook him as it's summer and hopefully I may not need to seperate them but just wanted an contingency plan.

I must warn you though he is a very 'full on delinquent teenage lab Rolling Eyes '
Anyone know if they do a Brat Camp for dogs Laughing

Hi Wendy

Somehow I suspect Dudley will be fine. As I said on your other thread I was surprised how gentle my two dogs were with Logie when he was recovering from his op!

Hopefully Dudley will be the same but if not I'm sure there will be lots of people willing to have him for a holiday Smile

Eileen

Wish I could help, but I don't think that I could cope with Dudley and Mole (much as Mole would love to have him here! Laughing ) in their teenage years Wink

Hopefully you won't need emergency Dudley back up but I'm sure someone will come along that can have him if need be

lol he sure does love him Wink Wink

I guess I'm just thinking out loud and I'm sure it won't come to that. I think we may use the hall as a 'large crate' for Charlie when Duds is being Duds Laughing

Wendy, I can always ask one of my Fosterers if they can help.

You could give Bailsmum (Rose) a PM, she lives in Hertfordshire, or I can phone her to ask for you.

I am sure you wont need to though x

Will be back in UK, Leicestershire in Aug (which will probably be a bit late) and am always willing to dogsit. Luna loves house guests - human and dog!

I hope that Dudley becomes Charlie's nurse and takes care of him so he can stay home - although if he does go on holiday I'm sure he'll have fun (while missing you-of course!)
