Thanks for all the welcome messges, also for the useful information on spaying. I have decided to wait like the vet said until she is around 8 months and if she has a first season - well hey it's not the end of the world - we will deal with it, and all those pesky dogs trying to get to my little girl!!!
It is a lovely site and loads of information available - thanks to you all for providing such a good site.
I am still awaiting on a NCDL dog training course, which is not now until 6 weeks down the line!! I have tried to train Coco a little, she is good, but also silly! She is ok at staying near me in public spaces off the lead of no dogs. I have not let her off where odgs aare unless it is with dogs that we know. The other day she got out of the gate and ran down our street , (small street) only 2 doors aways. I called her she sat down and waited. I ran in and grabbed her lead and went back out, she was still sat there and once she heard her lead she ran back. I was so scared that she was going to just go my heart was doing flips!!! I was very impressed that she did not go further than 2 doors away, so she was given a big praise for coming back.
I have a question about her peeing when people say hello to her and she is excited...how and when will this stop?- it is sooo embarrasing somethimes!!!!
I would be interested in any Lab meet up places in and around Liverpool, if anyone knows about any please advise...thanks.
I will of course get back on her at some stage with some photos still not got round to that one yet..but she is a beauty.
Take care and thanks to all again.
Gill and Coco X
