I agree with Jules, Janice
Don't worry about giving your dog water with a meal.
I'd just like to add to my earlier post that in 4 1/2 years of working in an out of hours clinic, I'v only seen bloat in 1 labrador, in my experience it has been more weimaraners,danes,setters,DDB,Rotties, but all breeds that have a deep chests can be affected.
If I've seen around 20 out of hours thats pushing it, as Jules said main thing is to know the signs and call your Vet asap if its out of hours. ALL Vets have 24hr cover for emergencies so please dont be afraid to call them if you suspect your dog is bloating up.
