I have just got my renewal through the post and its gone up from £34 per month to £38.01, she is only 18 months old and we have never claimed, it just seems high to me. What does everyone else pay with petplan and how old is their dog?

I thought it was high to expecially due to her age and no claim, also they have changed the unlimited cover to max of £12,000 per year which is still alot i know but companies seem to cut corners doing it cheaper but customers still pay more Evil or Very Mad

Blimey Sarah, that is high Shocked I am with Petplan and it is only £20 per month for the max £12k. If my renewal comes through that high I will have to shop around.

I pay £19.97 per month for advanced cover with Direct line, excess £80.00 and £6K per year cover, this is for both Jana and Cori

I cancelled petplan, fax to expensive and I was paying more just for Jana that I pay for Twix - £30.00 per month at nearly 13 3/4 years ish - also with direct line

Try Compare the Market, I have heard good things about Sainsbury's so will check that out at renewal Very Happy

I use MoreThan and they insure up to £7000 per condition. I have found them very good and I pay around £12-£13 a month for the labs. When I have claimed, they have paid out in a matter of days. Can't complain at all at the moment!

Just renewed with JBI for 192 pounds for year - 16 pounds a month to compare. Covers Luna wherever we are in Europe for up to only 4K total max. per year though. Haven't claimed at all for Luna during her first year as we found the costs for vet care so cheap here.

I'm guessing I may make use once my ED pup returns to a UK vet in the summer?!

Have a look at the KC's own insurance, it seems quite competitively priced and there are various options on the type of cover.

HOW MUCH?

The premium for Hally has just gone up to £18.99 with M&S and she is gone 6 (and touch wood never claimed).

The others (aged between 8 months and 3½) are all insured with More Than, premiums range between £11 and £14 each per month.
