That's the legal bit out of the way Wink

Get togethers of like minded people is great fun and gives you an opportunity to not only put names to faces of both dog and owner, but to build on great friendships.

Don't be shy, if you are new to the forum or have perhaps been lurking for a while now, if you see a GT in your area and fancy joining in then please feel free to do so.

Also, if you are new but wish to meet other Lab minded people pop a post on this section, but please state the following;

In the title DATE, LOCATION, TIME

Main body of thread
DATE
LOCATION
TIME TO MEET
WHERE TO MEET INITIALLY ie Car park

Also within the thread its handy to add things such as parking arrangements, refreshments available, toilets, and a map.

IF you are attending a GT its always worth getting hold of the organisers mobile, this means if you can't make it on the day of get lost you can call someone to get them to hang on or move on Laughing .

Get togethers are massive fun and a great way for everyone to socialise.

Having organised quite a few successful GT's in the last 12 months, I'd echo that! Its great fun for the whole family (including the furry members), so don't be shy! Very Happy

Thanks for reminder Natalie. It is important that everone feels welcome at our GTs. I must admit the first time I went along it felt very strange to be going along to meet up with folk you'd only had contact with on the internet. I've been to a few now large and small and the dogs and owners have had a great time. Jump in, don't be shy or if you can't see one near you organise your own. You've got nothing to loose and you could meet up with some great people.

Have fun

Yvonne

Don't be shy, pick a date and create a thread, even if there are only 2 or 3 of you that go, its still fun.

I do know there are a number of members in your area Wink

I've had a GT where there were only 3 of us. It was still good fun and plenty of chance to get to know the others. Large ones can be really chaotic!

I say go for it.
