Sorry for reopening an old post but also looking at this policy now.....has anyone any updates on how good this Argos policy actually is?

yes agree to previous poster - if no pre-existing conditions then shop around
M & S were great when underwritten by Axa (i still have one dog with M & S - pre-existing minor skin conditon) but I moved my 9 yr old (healthy - touch wood) dog from M & S to Axa (£70 excess) as M & S's excess once he reached 9 was 15% (and premium had gone up) but mainly for the reason of the excess.
I stopped a Petplan policy 7 years ago when my dog reached 10 - premiums hiked up and the excess was a whopping 35% - so as your dogs get older do keep a check on excesses when your dog reaches a certain age
