This morning I said goodbye to Annie. My little sweetheart went off to the Guide Dog training centre this morning and it was so hard to see her go. My very thoughtful supervisor phoned me in the afternoon to tell me she saw Annie settled in her new surroundings and she was taking it all in her stride. It is so strange without her and the house feels empty. Every now and then I think Annie must have gone through to her bed in the kitchen because she is not lying with Pebbles at my feet.
We are already missing her so much and can't wait to hear how she is getting on but will just have to be patient for the next couple of weeks till her trainer calls.

Awwwww! Bless little Annie. This is just the reason I would not be cut out for socialising a guide dog pup. It would be soooo hard letting go. Sad

I am sure she will be fine, and that you have done a great job with her. Very Happy

I just wanted to say what incredible people there are on this site.

When I read these types of stories it just reminds me of my own failings!

I would love to be so selfless to do what you have just done...Unfortunately I am not but thank god there are marvellous people like you out there that do. Thank you.

Thanks for your kind words folks.

Laura - No, Annie won't get to visit me but I should get feedback now and then during her training and also I'll get invited to visit her at the training centre in a few months.
