We have just taken on an 8 year old male Labrador called Monty from a disabled lady unable to cope any longer. He weighs around 67 kgs, has suffered from arthritis since 2003 and underwent an operation to stabilise a slipping patella in 2005. He weighed in at 62 kgs at the age of 2 years. His vet had stressed that he needed to lose weight, but nothing was ever done and the owner continued to pile on his pounds by overfeeding him and not exercising properly. I just wanted to introduce you all to him and will keep you posted on his progress

Look forward to seeing the 'streamlined' Monty but I bet he couldn't look any happier than he does in the photo but I bet he'll move with more verve and enthusiasm.

We are currently looking for a foster home for Monty. The ideal situation would be to keep him within the Herts, Beds & Bucks area so we can monitor his progress. If anyone can help please let me know.
