Not all the dogs at Lizzie's Barn are up on the site, but if it's too far to travel you might consider Suzy. I'll find out more about her during the week and see if I can get a pic.

my alfie is happier with Phoebe, he too was attacked by a male pit bull, luckily my daughters boyfriend was not afraid to pull them apart, and he only had a small scratch and some bruising on the back of his neck. So I know where you are coming from in wanting a Bitch

Hi Lucy

The LLR is here for the use and benefit of all Labrador Rescues, rescuers and volunteers alike.
The ethos is simplicity itself. The forums are merely a vehicle to house everyone. Every interested Lab rescue will have their own section to run their own concern. They can place their own Labs on, remove, update and will have their own contact details. Essentially the same as they run within their own websites.
There will be a field for mixed breed rescues to add their Labs also, using the same format. It may be the case these rescues need to relocate the lab to a rescue. By everyone being part of LLR the questions and answers and contacts will be easily found. Lostlabs will also have it's own section.
Along with this there will also be a section for volunteers which in turn will have sub headings such as transport, homecheckers, fosterers, urgent help etc.
A coming together of everything Lab related, rescues, people, and volunteers to the benefit of Labradors and the ease of those trying to rehome and save them.
To have all breed specific rescues and helpers under one umbrella will allow everyone to concentrate their efforts and have a common land to work in, as well as having a haven to come to for help if required..
With co-operation and input the LLR could become a centralized, lifesaving resource for all Labradors.

I believe all rescues were contacted a while ago regarding this....most have offered themselves forward too.

Please PM me if you need to, not a prob Wink

Hi Andy - would you consider taking a lab cross?

In a previous posting I said that a Labx would be possible, would prefer a pure lab, but none of the rescues has even offered a cross.

The problem seems to be that Alfie is intact, and so they will not consider us if the bitch has not been spayed, we did offer to pay for it to be done, but were told that it was out of the question.

Hi Andy,
I hope you are nearer to finding the companion for Alfie! It seems daft that even though you have said you will pay for a bitch to be spayed you have been told it is a no! it would seem sensible to get you to sign some sort of written agreement to say you would do this, therefore formalising your statement.
Just want to wish you luck.
