While I was in the Feed Shop yesterday I saw they had Chudleys Working Crunch in and it was only £12.70 for 15 kgs . I checked the make up and ingredients and it looked very similar to the Skinners Crunchy I had Mojo on last year, so I thought I'd give it a go as it is a lot cheaper.
Mojo of course will eat anything but I was surprised to see the Pood tuck into it last night and this morning, in fact she picked out the Chudleys and left the Skinners (I had put both in the bowl).
I'll report back on the poo dept later, although mine have Cast Iron stomachs .
I was just wondering if anyone else fed Chudleys and how their dogs were on it.....Did it make them gain weight, was their coat good, etc, etc?

Sweep has been on Chudleys since we got her, first Chudleys puppy food and now Chudleys junior. She loves it. She is a lovely weight, very fit and we are always having comments made to us about how shiney her coat is. I think lots of working dogs are fed on it, we get it from our local farm shop and it is a very good price compared to some of the other feeds. Will definitely move her onto the crunch after the junior.

I feed Chudleys and have had no problems with it. The lazy boys could do to loose a little weight but I think thats down to me being a soft touch rather that Chudleys
We have firm poo's and good coats and its a good price so no complaints here

I feed Chudleys - they're all on the working crunch during the winter months and for the rest of the year, I will mix one of their lower protein/fat feeds.
The working crunch is 15% fat and 25% protein which the dogs seems to digest pretty well so unless it's cold, the dogs are doing a fair bit of work or a combination of the two, they will put on weight and have a lot of energy so beware!

Good.....This is what I was hoping for. Last year I had Mojo on Skinners Duck and Rice through the summer...and what with all the agility displays and extra long walks/swimming, etc she went rather thin, so I had to switch her to their Crunchy, which is about the same make up as this. This year I wanted to avoid her going skinny, plus the Pood is a skinny minny under all that fluff, as she carries no fat at all. She is also joining the Display team this year, so I wanted to at least try to keep her weight stable too.
If I find either of them are putting on weight, then I'll change to a lower protein and fat feed, as I will probably do in the winter with Mojo anyway.
I'm glad to hear others feed it and think it's a good feed though, as I'm always a bit wary of feeding "cheap" feed.

I have just bought a bag of Chudley's junior for Ciara and she loves it. We made our order for Skinners puppy but didnt arrive into pet shop in time and we ran (we had to put her back onto JWB) but since being back on Skinners she's been getting squitty poo's so we put her onto Chudleys on Sunday and she's got wonderfully firm poo's so looks like we'll be sticking to Chudley's.

I used to feed mine chudleys working crunch, but changed it too skinners as it was making them very windy on it, and it was very smelly.
That aside, coats were they shiny, and they were very healthy on it.

We've just moved onto Chudleys Classic, been on it for about a week, and they seem to be doing well, although Bosun is moulting so he looks crap anyway
Poo wise (I love LF, it's the only place I can have my poo discussions without people rolling their eyes ), they are doing bigger poos and two a day minimum, whereas on Burns they tended to just do one or two small ones a day. Must be more bulk in the Chudleys?
I'm liking it so far, dogs are fine, and it saves me a huge £27 per 15kg bag!!!!!!
