Both mine are insured with More than.

I've had no problems with claiming for Coal's operation and i did expect his insurance to go up because i'd claimed
1st year - £11.04 a month
2nd year - £12.99 a month... i then in this 2nd year for his operation
3rd Year - £18.99

then Finn
1st year - £11.99
2nd year - £15.99 - !!!!!!!!!!!!!

what on earth has caused another 4 quid a month when he's not been to the vets since his jabs!!!!!!!!!!! maybe its cause he's ginger!

i might try a few places to see if i can get a cheaper quote for finn.

not happy

Same for me Sam - Lola's been in the vets about 3 times since her jabs, twice for puppy boosters & check ups, and last month to be spayed. Tesco have just sent me a renewal, from £9 a month to £16 for the 2nd year - Its a scandal! So I'll be shopping around, sharpish!

I must admit, i'm dead impressed with PetPlan. Lucy originally cost about £13 pm, and in the 2nd year (having claimed for X-rays for her diagnosis of HD) only went up to £15 pm....wonder if it'll rocket up next year instead Rolling Eyes

I've been looking at Greenbee for new pup - it's John Lewis underwritten by Axa, looks much like M&S before they changed.

Hi,

jur got our renewal with petplan for our 14month old and petplan are putting an increase of 10% on in the coming year (found out from a looooong conversation trying to work out the huge increase...)

double hit for us is that we were on 12months for 10 before so its a wopping increase overall....

I want lifelong cover etc and a similar policy conditions, but have no idea where else to go for a good priced / good payout company...

any ideas...

oh i hate pet insurance, i went with M&S with both of mine when it was a fab policy with no excess, it seems not only has the whole policy been changed each year but the cost has gone up hugely Sad and i'm stuck with them as i've made claims for both dogs throughout the last few years that no other company would now cover!!!

I just hope M&S don't go up too much more this year, i'm already paying more for their insurance than for my car insurance Rolling Eyes

You're not doing too badly Sam. I have just arranged Rusti's insurance after the free KC insurance and the cheapest I could find is with More Than but at £19.19 a month Shocked

Axa wanted £29.62, Direct Line £26.38, Petplan £30.12 plus looked at loads of other policies but they were expensive too and the cover was crap.

Seems my post code area is particularly expensive Evil or Very Mad

Charlie's has just gone up from £215 last year to £275 this year with M&S. I can't really grumble as we've claimed around £12,000 up to now but obviously we can't change now.
Dudley is also insured with them as it's a good insurance, and will be for a couple of years to hopefully 'get over the risky stage' and then I'll shop around

Ladies....

I am just changing Brambles insurance as when I looked at the renewal what was good cover - £6,000 per year lifetime cover for £17.70 a month when I came to check the certificate - the renewal notice just said it was automatically being renewed Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad I found out that the premium has gone up to just short of £22 per month the excess increased from £50 to £80 PLUS 10% of the overall bill....so hardly worth having...and we had made no claims... Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

I am changing to PetGuard - same level of premium but £7,500 per year lifetime cover and £60 excess...

With them you can choose loads of different options so you get the cover you want and the premium changes immediately on the quote so you can see the impact of your option and decide whether it is worthwhile...

They are underwritten by Pinnacle so I think thats reputable... fingers crossed - especially as I told Pat about it and she took out a policy last night as well.....

I cannot believe those prices Shocked Twix costs me £30,00 per month with Direct Line, which her age is dont think is too bad.

Jana and Cori combined at £19.99 a month with direct line - £65.00 excess per claim and have been with them for years not

Sainsbury are doing 12 months for the price of 10, looks cheap too Smile
