Have gone for one of these in the end on eBay, via Quidco of course!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageNam e=STRK:MEBOFFX:IT&item=190288895170

They are a bit more expensive than most but they do look better quality.

Just hope the seller accepts my offer Wink

Hi Indylou, just in case your ebay purchase doesn't pull off, I picked one up from PAH a while back:http://www.petsathome.com/find/category-is-2+dog/category-is-2d+collars+leads+and+tags/category-is-2D06+Reflective/product-is-V00130 it's reflective and has flashing lights.

have a look at Visiglo collars, pets at home sell them too but they are a bit more expensive there, lots of different ones to choose from

Mackie has a runner's armband as an extra collar. It lights up (red LED's) and has been a godsend. The other thing I got him was a track jacket from Ruff Wear

http://www.ruffwear.com/Track-Jacket?sc=2&category=1132

But the one I got him has a battery pack so the strips down the sides light up/flash. You end up not seeing him and it looks like a flying carpet! Laughing

We have the one Jodysmum said about too - I posted a 'name and praise' in the pet products section a while ago. Can see it for miles, they're fab!

Hi Guys,

just to let you all know.

I purchased the Nite Ize, Nite Dawg collar.

To begin with it was great, really bright at night and a nice quality collar itself.

I soon found out that the design was very poor.

It is basically a small light box at one end of the collar into which a length of thick fibreoptic cable is attached to transport the light around the collar.
This box unfortunately is positioned right next to the metal loop where you attach the dog lead. when the dog pulls or you pulll the dog back it creates stress and tension on the light box and its fibreoptic attchment and within 2 trips out the two componants seperated. Very poor really.
I have now sent the collar back for a refund.

Will try one of the collars suggested by other members above next i think.

Cheers guys,
j

We use a florescent dog jacket for Toby. Makes a lot of difference, and he's a lot calmer when he has it on. Maybe he thinks he's a guide dog in training! LOL Pets at Home £10 and washable.
