....cos I've booked him in for his first swimming lesson on Friday! Laughing

They wouldn't accept him onto the 'Little Ducklings, Mothers and Toddlers' class at the local swimming pool, so I've found him a nice K9 Hydrotherapy pool instead!

If awards are being given out for 'Dedication to work through the Gundog Club Grades' then me and Zorro have it in the bag!!! Laughing My theory is that once he has acclimatised to swimming in a nice lifejacket in a heated pool with a very nice lady holding his handles, mumuring encouraging words, leaping through the ice into a muddy, stagnant pond in January to fetch a wet, heavy dummy will hold no fears for the lad! Shocked

I broke the good news to Zorro and he sighed, turned his head away and reached for his Saga Magazine to dream whistful thoughts of retirement!

Grade 3 Fay...keep up girl!!!! Grade 3 involves water retrieves and Zorro does't do water above knee-height 'as yet'!!! Twisted Evil

Can't wait to start the Grade 4 which will involve training Zorro to jump out of a helicopter and parashoot onto a blind-retrieve! Shocked

ryleigh had her first swimming lesson yesterday or should i say doggy paddle she did look a picture in her life jacket its a good job she had it on otherwise she would have drowned i think she liked it. it wore her out, she goes again on sunday and she looks nice and clean bless her iam going to take the camara next time

Monty was rather stressed out when he first went swimming. The splashes were all over the ceiling, walls and windows of the hydro centre!Buy now he absolsutely loves it. Guiness loved it from day one. I am sure Zorro will too. Let us know how it goes
