Gnome – Her name is Rowan, but I’m not sure what the caption would say! Shocked

Well thanks folks; No shortage of keenness from my dogs, cross eyed and all!! I particularly like the shots where the front of the dog stops and the backend keeps going. One of the many reasons why a Labrador could never ride a bicycle – you have to put the back brakes on at the same time as the front. Wink

Super, fit, dogs. Great photos. Lovely snow. No snow here. All roads clear. Today blue sky, sunshine.

Brill pics john, what camera and lens are you using?

I loved them all but the crazy expression on Rowans face is hilarious! You have managed to click just at the right moment!

Can't do any retrieving in the snow for the last week here as the retrieve does a plop into a foot of snow and takes alot of finding! Snowing again today, 4 inches on top of the 14 so far and counting.....

Helen – They were taken with a Nikon D300 with a Nikon 70-200 f2.8 VR lens. I have fitted an extra battery grip, which increases the frames per second to something like 8 I think, so pushing the shutter at the correct moment is not such a problem.

I was impressed with the camera’s exposure compensation in the snow, particularly with Rowan (black dog syndrome), I think I compensated 2 stops, but it hasn’t washed out the snow and I didn’t lose the blue sky reflection. There was little compensation on the shots of Honey; she’s dark yellow but not quite that foxy. Confused

John
