I read here some weeks ago about a new style dummy from the Working Dog Company. Quote from their website "The newly developed range of pheasant and partridge body shaped retriever training dummies are available to buy online exclusively from Working Dog Company".

I can't find the orignal post just quickly scanning through, and must dash off tonight, but I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to whichever kind person it was who recommended these dummies! Tom bought me one of each size for my birthday, and not only does puppy Oak do lovely retrieves with them but Ash, Mr "I really can take or leave dummies, give me the REAL THING" yellow peril said "HEY!!! THESE ARE GREAT!!!!! THANKS MUM!!!!!)

So thank you so much! Hopefully we ALL have hours of fun ahead of us with them!

Katy Fife Ash and Oak

That's an excellent result Very Happy Glad that they are working (and I find them easier to throw as well Laughing )...This is one of the nice things about the internet: it can give us tips and ideas about training and training equipment.

My only criticism of them is that they are a little light as far as weight is concerned! As I said in my post previously they are great for young dogs because you don't have any of that holding the end and running back with the dummy dangling!!

I am still trying to work out a way of making them heavier though. Anybody any ideas?

I bought a couple when Natasha first mentioned them. I find them very good, something a bit different and awkward to hold.

Appreciate any ideas.

http://www.workingdogcompany.co.uk/results.php?category=4 Also do whistles Hayley! Tom said they were very good - package came next day. (As they were my present they were hiddden from me!!)

Natasha as I said above, thank you I am thrilled with the dummies. But easy to throw - oh no! I managed to hit myself on the head, and nearly got Ash too! One went over my head . . . .. Embarassed WHEN will I learn to throw dummies?!!!! Rolling Eyes But the dogs love them!

Hope Jasper likes his Emma - you can always try mine first before you buy one The smaller one would probably be the most encouraging.

Katy

Since we're 'talking' about these anyway, how big is the 'pheasant one' (is it as it suggests the size of a pheasant?!)

I have the partridge one and Im just wondering how much bigger the other one is in comparison?
