I am following this daily. My mother lives in Ashby where there has been a potential sighting near the Tesco, and she has friends who live in Sheepy Magna who have black labs themselves.
this was posted a few weeks ago bt sky's owner............
Thank you to all for your continued support and messages. We can't believe that 4 months have gone by, but we miss Sky as much as ever and messages of support really do help.
We still have good reason to believe he is living wild, and very timid, only 5 miles or so from here. We don't know the extent of his territory, and we don't seem to be able to attact him with food. It's very frustrating. We laid a trap but it got stolen. Phone calls are few and far between but at least when he's (if it is him) seen he looks healthy and always seems to be running, nose to the ground in typical labrador style. We've laid bits of cloth with our scent next to the food but it's only gone about 3 or 4 times (other than bits taken by foxes, mice or rats) so we've never been able to establish a pattern.
Let's hope that with better weather he'll be more active, with farmers in the fields he may get sighted more often, and with time he may become bolder. Also a black lab against a green hedge is better than a dark brown hedge. We continue to pray our little boy will be home one day.

Bumping this again as Sky is still missing and it's been 15 months now
His owners have generated lots of publicity but still no news
He would be easily identifiable by the scar on his back.
He's on
DogLost and I've attached a flyer his owners emailed to Oldies Club that I've converted to a pdf. If you can print and distribute some, please do.
