Sonny went with the picking up team today, so Jud came out on the peg with me, just like his dad used to do.

I was very pleased with him, as he was steady all day, although we had one or two moments when I thought the temptation of a spot of hare coursing would prove too great, he resisted!!

His sister Nenagh was out as well, it was good to see them out together.

Smashing photos Andrew, such a shame we are almost at at the end for another season.

But then, this is where the planning starts! We have now brought a two furrow plough so the game crop is now under our control. Drainage ditches to be dug, one week to go then the work starts again!

I guess I may not be the only one going out tomorrow for the last time this winter?

This season has gone very quickly! It seems only last week that I was anxious about Rowan’s first day out as trainee peg dog, back in October.
