How horrible
Have asked re doglost, will update with photo etc. if received.
***************
This morning on the M6 around J29/ Walton Le Dale area. The dog ran off after an accident on the motorway possibly heading in the direction of Leyland in Lancashire.
Black Lab bitch. 4 1/2 yrs old. Microchipped. No collar. Her name is Amy and she is a fully trained gundog.
Her owner is understandably devastated- There were 3 dogs- one is safe and the other unfortunately died at the scene.
The owner has my details, and i have said the dog can come to me if found - the family live in Derbyshire.
What a sad day for that family. An RTA is bad enough without a dog running off and one dying. I do hope Amy is found safe and well. Run free at the bridge poor dog that died.
I'm not in touch with the owner, they don't have internet access I don't think. Someone on another forum posted the details and is acting as the contact point - she did advise them about Dog Lost and gave them her contact details, but I don't think she has theirs. I know someone from doglost, who is on the same forum and I'll draw their attention to the details in case they can put something up without hearing from the owner.

Like I said, that's the person who posted the details I've crossposted. They already know about doglost, they told the owner about doglost but they don't have the owners details, they just gave them theirs.
I don't know that doglost can do anything without hearing from the owner. I am in touch with a friend at doglost.
