What she said! Wink Absolutely. You MUST watch a number of matings, good and not so straightforward really to be able to tackle problems as they arise. Of course some will say, well it was like falling off a log with my boy, but MANY won't and spent a week with him bouncing off her like a Bouncy Castle until the bitch won't let another dog near her for the rest of her days!

So go see how people get the job done. AND, quite sincerely, if you CAN'T, then get on and prove your dog on your own bitch FIRST (quality, healthtests blah blah blah permitting) so that any inital handling problems are yours and yours alone and not using other folks girls as an absolute learning curve.

Di

If you want to find a stud dog or advertise your dog as a stud dog go to ***********.com

No offence but I so wish advertising companies like yours would be more strict when it comes to who can advertise. Adverts like these are not brilliant:

Gorgeous, Cute, Adorable 5 weeks old Andrex puppies for sale. Not K.C. Reg. Both parents are own pets (mum-Labrador, dad-retriever) therefore, can & probably will be seen when viewing puppies!!

Why can't someone say dogs must have had required healthtests, be KC reg etc etc BEFORE they can advertise.... Would make a QUALITY and responsible online ad site for once!

That's a very interesting and informative thread, thanks Di.
I didn't realise how involved it all is! Not that I am considering breeding, I really don't think I would want to!
