I have read about Megan's weight issue before - and I just wondered, if you feel she's getting a good amount of exercise and not eating too much, if the vet had thought about testing her thyroid? That can cause a dog to be overweight.

call me an old cynic but there is no way a dog getting an hours exercise a day and 300g of food cannot be loosing weight, its as simple as that.so either your scales are broken or the exercise isnt correct.
normal sized coffee cup is approx 125g depending on type of food as they do vary abit. thats 1 cup morning and night and the weight will come off regardless of any other medical issue.

my old fella was 51k when i rescued him, couldnt walk more than a couple of hundred yards, arthritus in all 4 legs and a dodgy shoulder. and for the last 2 years has averaged either 2 or 3 cups of food day with a rawhide treat 3 or 4 times a week and he is now around 33 kilos

from this

to this in 12 months
